What Tally is

Tally is an online form builder where you type questions into a document-style editor. It offers unlimited forms and submissions, free within its fair use guidelines.

A newsletter operator could use it for signup forms, surveys and RSVPs. It supports payments, conditional logic, custom domains and embeds.

Tally BV makes it, and it is hosted in Europe.

Who it is for

Tally is for creators, product teams, marketers, HR teams, office teams and individuals. Creators use it for growing newsletters and receiving contact messages. Marketers use it for lead generation and registrations.

A newsletter operator who wants a signup form, reader survey or event RSVP at low cost can use it. Forms can be started without signing up for an account.

What you can do with it

Tally has input blocks for contact info, payments, e-signatures, ratings, file uploads and dates. Logic features include conditional logic, a calculator, hidden fields set from URL parameters, answer piping and partial submissions.

Other features are email notifications, redirect on completion, reCAPTCHA, themes, custom CSS, multi-page forms and more than 50 languages. Forms can be shared as an embed, a popup, a Tally link or on a custom domain.

Plans and pricing

There are three plans: Free, Pro and Business. Free has unlimited forms and submissions within the fair usage guidelines, plus payments, signatures, file uploads and conditional logic.

Pro is $24 a month, or billed yearly with 2 months off. It adds branding removal, custom domains, unlimited team members, custom CSS, workspaces, extended analytics and 30 days of version history. Business is $74 a month. It adds automatic deletion of submissions, email verification for respondents and 90 days of version history.

What it works with

Native integrations are Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Coda, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and webhooks. Zapier, Make and Pipedream connect it to other apps.

There is API documentation and an MCP server for developers. Answers can be sent to a spreadsheet or Notion page. Webhooks send each response to another tool as it arrives.

Things to know before you choose

Free use is limited by the fair usage guidelines. Branding removal, custom domains and unlimited file upload size are on Pro, and Free has a 10 MB per-file limit that Pro removes.

Refund and cancellation terms and support tiers are not published. There is a contact form and a help center. Tally BV, based in Belgium, hosts forms in Europe.
