What Kit is
Kit was formerly called ConvertKit. It is an email-first operating system for creators, covering email creation, automations and audience management.
A newsletter operator can use it to send emails, build landing pages and forms, run visual automations, take paid newsletter subscriptions, and use Recommendations to appear in other creators' emails.
Paid plans include a free migration service, and there is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Who it is for
Kit is built for artists, authors, bloggers, coaches, course creators, marketers, musicians, newsletter creators, podcasters and YouTubers.
It fits an operator who wants to sell as well as send, such as digital products, paid newsletters or sponsorships. Someone who only wants a plain sending tool would use a small part of what Kit offers.
What you can do with it
The tools are grouped into four areas. Grow covers Analytics, Subscriber Signals, Recommendations, landing pages and forms. Send covers the email designer, email marketing and deliverability.
Automate covers Visual Automations, the Kit App Store and Kit MCP. Earn covers Commerce, Paid Recommendations, a paid newsletter and newsletter sponsorships. Recommendations pay $1 to $5 or more per subscriber signup.
