Zapier is for businesses that want AI automation with governance. It speaks to IT and security leaders who set guardrails, and to business teams that build workflows inside them.

There is also a Free plan for one person. A newsletter operator who does the same copy and paste steps again and again, such as moving form sign-ups into a list, is the kind of user it fits. A solo writer with one simple connection may need only a small plan.

Plans and pricing

Zapier has four plans. Free gives 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps and 15-minute polling. Professional adds multi-step Zaps, 2-minute polling, filters, paths, webhooks and premium apps. Team adds 25 seats, shared workflows, SAML SSO and priority support. Enterprise is custom and sold through sales.

Professional task tiers run from 750 to 2,000,000 tasks a month. Annual billing is about 33% cheaper than monthly. Task allowances reset monthly even on annual billing. Pay-per-task overage is available on Professional and Team, not on Free.

Zapier connects 9,000+ apps. Popular partners on the beehiiv side include Typeform, Tally, Jotform, Google Forms, Shopify, Gumroad, WordPress, Webflow, Slack, Airtable, Notion and Calendly.

The beehiiv app can send data both ways. Triggers watch for events such as new subscriptions or new posts, and actions change subscribers, tags, segments and custom fields. Zapier also has MCP connections to Claude and ChatGPT, and log streaming to Datadog and Splunk.

Things to know before you choose

On the Free plan, usage stops at the 100 task limit until the next cycle. Free Zaps have two steps. Polling, which is how often Zapier checks for new data, is 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team.

A task counts each time a step finishes. Overage on monthly plans is 2.5 times the base rate, and 1.25 times on annual plans. Even with pay-per-task on, usage pauses at three times your subscription.
