What Sponsy is

Sponsy is an all-in-one sponsorship management platform for newsletters. It keeps ad slots on one calendar, gives advertisers a branded portal to upload and approve creative, and pulls open and click data from the email platform into reports.

It is for newsletter operators, local newsletters and media companies.

The Starter plan has no monthly fee and charges a set amount for each slot a sponsor books.

Who it is for

Sponsy is for newsletter operators, local newsletters and media companies. It suits teams that manage several publications and many sponsor placements, often moving off spreadsheets.

A newsletter operator who already sells ads and wants one place for slots, advertisers, creative and reports would use it. One with no sponsors yet would find less to manage. Customers include TLDR, The Rundown AI and Last Week in AWS.

What you can do with it

Ad Inventory shows all ad slots across publications on a calendar with live availability. The Customer Portal is a branded page where advertisers upload assets and approve creative. Ad Reports pull opens, clicks and click-through rate from the email platform and can be scheduled to go to advertisers.

Other named parts are Automations, a Revenue Dashboard, an Advertiser CRM, Pipeline Forecasting, Deals, Storefront and a Growth Engine for adding placements.

Plans and pricing

The plans are Starter, Pro and Custom. Starter is $0 a month plus $5 per booked slot, and the first 5 slots are included. Pro is $49 a month for up to 10 booked slots, with bands up to 200 slots at $599. Slots beyond a band cost $5 each.

Pro adds 10 publications, 20 seats, unlimited storefronts, e-signatures, roles and advanced analytics. Custom is contract pricing with training and priority support.

What it works with

Sponsy connects to beehiiv, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Campaign Monitor, Omeda, Mailchimp, Ghost, Sailthru, HubSpot and Zapier. There are 20+ integrations in total, with a full list on its integrations page.

There is also an API and an MCP connection. On Starter these are read-only. On Pro they are read-write. Sponsy also has free tools: a Newsletter LTV Calculator, a Newsletter Valuation Calculator and an Ad Report Generator.

Things to know before you choose

Starter is limited to 3 publications with 5 placements each, 2 seats, 1 storefront and 2 automations. Slots are counted per calendar month, so a slot booked for 3 months counts once in each month.

Concierge onboarding is $1,000 on all plans. Link tracking and the conversion pixel are in private beta and are sold as add-ons. You can cancel anytime. Over 200 slots a month needs a custom contract.
