What Paved is

Paved is a newsletter ad network with sponsorships and native ads across more than 3,000 newsletters. It is part of the Redbrick family of brands.

A newsletter publisher creates a free profile, sets availability and prices, and approves or refuses booking requests from a dashboard. Paved handles contracts, invoices and payouts.

Paved offers two kinds of ads for publishers: scheduled flat-fee placements and dynamic pay-per-click ads that use a code snippet in the newsletter.

Who it is for

Paved is a marketplace that connects newsletter publishers with advertisers. For publishers, there are size minimums by ad type. Scheduled flat-fee ads are for newsletters with at least 50,000 subscribers. Dynamic pay-per-click ads are for publishers with at least 1 million monthly impressions.

A smaller newsletter would not meet the minimums. A larger one that wants advertisers brought to it, and wants invoicing handled, is the fit.

What you can do with it

Publishers set their own availability and prices, can refuse advertisers, and can offer discounts on direct booking rates. A self-serve dashboard covers booking requests, creative review and availability.

Paved handles invoicing, contracts and payouts, reviews every ad by hand before it goes live, and filters bot clicks from metrics. Publishers also get performance reporting and a booking page on their own domain.

Plans and pricing

Paved has no plans for publishers. Creating a profile is free and listing a newsletter costs nothing. There are no subscription fees.

Publishers set their own rates. A commission rate and a payout schedule are not published; separate publisher terms cover those details. Advertiser budget tiers run from under $1,000 to $25,000+. Those are advertiser budgets and not publisher fees.

What it works with

Pay-per-click ads run through a code snippet that a publisher adds to the newsletter. Ad spots are filled automatically when the newsletter is sent.

A creative assistant and an MCP connector are among its tools. There is also a Booker product for publishers. Open, click and conversion tracking is reported for each campaign.

Things to know before you choose

The size minimums apply: 50,000 subscribers for scheduled ads and 1 million monthly impressions for dynamic ads.

Commission rates, payout timing and contract length are not published. Paved is part of the Redbrick family of brands. Publishers can also earn 5% on transactions for 6 months by referring an advertiser or another publisher.
