What RetentionLetter is

RetentionLetter writes, designs and sends a branded newsletter to a business's clients on its behalf. Each newsletter carries the business's name, headshot, logo and contact details.

It is built for local businesses that depend on repeat clients. Insurance agencies are the live industry, and real estate, mortgage brokers, dentists and med spas are coming soon.

Two issues go out each month with industry insights, seasonal tips and cross-sell prompts, and a monthly report shows opens and clicks.

Who it is for

RetentionLetter is a done-for-you client newsletter for local businesses that depend on repeat clients. Insurance agencies are the live industry. Real estate agents, mortgage brokers, dentists and med spas are coming soon. A "Your Industry" option invites other businesses with clients they want to keep to get in touch.

A business that already sends a consistent newsletter likely does not need the service. It fits an owner who wants clients to get a newsletter without writing one. It is not set up for writing your own issues.

What you can do with it

RetentionLetter writes and sends the newsletter twice a month. The business owner puts in zero hours of work.

Every issue carries the business name, headshot, logo and contact info at the top and bottom. Content covers industry insights, seasonal tips, useful checklists and lifestyle topics. Gentle cross-sell prompts nudge clients to call the office or book another service. A monthly report shows opens, clicks and which stories clients read most. An optional approval step lets the business review each issue before it sends.

Plans and pricing

RetentionLetter has one plan. It is $300 a month, flat, plus a $200 one-time setup fee.

The plan includes two newsletters a month, the branding, sending to your client list and the monthly performance report. It is month to month, with no contract and no penalties if you cancel. A refund policy beyond the cancel-anytime terms is not published.

What it works with

During onboarding the business gives RetentionLetter its client and prospect email list. RetentionLetter imports and manages the list, and the business can send updated contacts at any time. An example newsletter is at insurancerundown.com/p/example so you can see what an issue looks like. There is also a blog at /blog/.

Things to know before you choose

Insurance agencies are the only live industry today. The other industries are marked coming soon.

A minimum list size, turnaround time, geographic limits and how content is sourced are not published. The only contact is hello@retentionletter.com, with no phone number or hours.
